Holiness, by Micah Stampley:
Holiness, holiness is what I long for (that’s what I long for)
Holiness is what I need
Holiness, holiness is what
You want for meRighteousness, righteousness is what I long for
Righteousness is what I need (that’s what I need)
Righteousness, Righteousness is what
You want for me, for me
So, take my heart and mold itSo, take my heart and mold it (So, take my heart and mold it)
Take my mind, transform it (Take my mind, transform it)
Take my will, conform it (Take my will, conform it)
To Yours, to Yours, oh, Lord (Take my will, conform it)Brokenness, brokenness is what I long for
Brokenness is what I need (gotta be broken)
Brokenness, brokenness is what
You want for me, for me
So, take my heart and mold itSo, take my heart and mold it
Take my mind, transform it
Take my will, conform it
To Yours, to Yours, oh, Lord
This is another song my husband took a liking to a few years ago. It’s quite repetitive, but it speaks of God’s glory and unfailing love. Oh yeah, and it has a good bass line. My husband came of age during the hip hop generation and his salvation didn’t diminish his taste for music with that flavor.
Erick Matthews singing Glory and Honor:
There is a love, that’s above the rest
Unmerited love, the kind of love God has
To look beyond our faults
And see all our needs
It’s a godly love that gives us liberty
Glory, glory and honor belong to you
Holy Lamb of God You’re so pure and true
For that reason I just want to bless your name.
Y’all have a blessed Sunday.
Your husband has lovely taste in music. Hope you have a great Sunday as well!
I love those songs as well. Hope you, SAM, and those beautiful children are doing well, friend!
