Whatever this little corner of cyberspace is, whatever is discussed here, and whatever opinions are espoused, it my heart’s desire that every person who reads here appreciates how gracious, loving, and just the God of all creation is, and the lengths He has gone to reconcile sinful, imperfect men to himself.
The awesome sacrifice of His Son and our Messiah, who died for the remission of our sins is news too great to be relegated to the margins of our discussions and it is of the utmost importance that the reality of the salvation message is proclaimed here.
If you are not a Christian, or are not sure if you are a Christian, I highly recommend this reading as a starting point. A thorough, yet succinct examination of the salvation found in Jesus, Our Messiah can be found in the reading.
For those of us who have tasted of the heavenly gift, we are commanded to exhort and encourage one another, and bear each another’s burdens. In the vast community of the Internet, it might seem all but impossible to do this effectively, but through this network of blogs, we have managed to do just that.
It is my heart’s desire to take this one step further and devote a page, this page, to prayer requests and I commit to pray for anyone who leaves a specific prayer request in the comments section of this page, and ask that my readers who love the Lord and His people, and regularly read this blog to do the same.
If you don’t have a specific prayer request but want to encourage another believer to know that you will stand in prayer for them, please leave a comment to bless them so that they know they are not alone.
If an answer to a prayer request left here is received, please come back and allow us to offer praises to the Most High with you.
For all the pontificating that goes on here, it means nothing if I neglect to get to the heart of the matter.
Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:13-16

Oh, I’ll be the first! I would like prayer for my son who is in the Air Force and studying Chinese. It is very difficult. He studies hard, is a good troop, and has a good attitude. His teachers like him. He is not goofing off. It’s just that this is the hardest language that there is to learn. His main problem is that he “freezes up” when it comes to written tests. Would you pray that he can stay calm and remember what he studied? That God would make him attentive and able to retain the information and not freeze up on tests? That he would attain the needed B average and be able to graduate. Thank you, Terry.
This is great of you to do this.
Commenting just to receive email notifications of prayer requests.
I’m following Amie, commenting to get email notifications of prayer requests.
This just might be my favorite part of your blog, Terry. Great idea!
I’m in.
Would you please pray that God’s will is revealed to my husband and I about life’s direction and choices?
Thank you!
@Mary, I have offered a prayerfor your son that he would be successful in what I’m sure is a difficult course to balance along with the demands of military life.
@hearthrose: Prayers for divine wisdom for your husband and for you as you make decisions regarding the direction of your family.
I thought I’d take a quick minute to share how I handle prayer requests in my real life and as well as on the Internet in general, for any interested parties.
When these comments trickle in, it’s actually very easy for me to see them early in te morning, stop what I’m doing right then, and say a quick prayer.
When friends or family call and ask for prayer, I usually stop and pray right then and there. The eliminates any chance of my forgetting to pray for them.
Lastly, I have a notebook where I write down people I need to pray for specifically. When I get my Bible in the morning, I get that notebook. As a rule, I think it is most wise to pray the Sciptures. If I know a couple is having marital problems, then I pray God’s revealed word for marriage and forgiveness would reign in their home. If someone is having financial troubles, I pray the Scriptural principles that may govern their specific problem.
I figure we can never go wrong praying the Scriptures. The most valuable thing I have learned is that it is quite possible to pray for one another without it taking massive amounts of time. Thst has helped me immensely and knowing what te Scriptures say is an invaluable asset to praying effectively.
Thank you, Terry.
Would you please pray for my husband’s salvation. Also pray that I will be the godly wife I am called to be so that my husband can see that God is good and loving.
Also please pray for my brother. He is going to Marine Boot Camp in December.
Thank you!
The more people praying the merrier.
Terry,
I would like for you all to be praying for my household especially my husband. He is looking for a new job that will provide financially so that he doesn’t have to work two. Be praying for two different couples in my family who are having marital issues and think divorce is the only option. We all got married the same year so both are brand new baby marriages.
Also please pray for me that as a mother I can better understand my pre-teen daughters. This is a very “different” time in my home and I don’t want to push away because I can see the enemy subtly trying to work…. this is hard for me as I am normally stern and matter of fact and its all I know since that is how I was raised.
Thanks so much for this…
Mrs Taylor,
Please know my heart is touched and I am praying for your husband, that he will come to know our good and gracious Savior, and that the Lord will give you the heart to witness to him as his loving, Godly wife.
I also pray for your brother… my father was amarine for 20 years and my heart is always tender for our men and women in uniform. I trust the Lord will bless and keep him.
God Bless you!
Jamala,
God bless your good husband, sister, who has such a heart to provide for his family. I am praying God will honor that desire with a position that will allow him to provide and have more time and energy for his family.
God Bless you!
Terry,
I hope you dont mind that I responded personally to some of the prayer requests that touched my heart.. just wanted the sisters to know id be praying for them, too.
My request is for my walk with the Lord. Im finding that while I am in a season of incredible gratitude towards God for the ways He has been so faithful and blessed me, at the same time I am having an odd time of doubting… I find the feelings I have as a new mom are so overwhelming that fear creeps in and I have a hard time trusting God with my future, and our future as a family, and instead want to hold on tight. Its no coincidence that I had to study Genesis 22 for my bible study homework this week… reading the story of Abraham and God’s testing him with Isaac really made me face my own trust that “The Lord will provide”.
Thank you, sister, for your faithful prayers.

Nicole, it’s fine with me if you leave encouraging comments for the other ladies who request prayer.
Be praying for Graci… we are having her tubes put in this morning. She will be asleep and I certianly don’t want to put my faith in man … pray this will be the solution to her problem! Thanks ladies you all are the best!
The husband and I will be praying friend! Give me a call when you can to let me know how things went and how Graci is doing.
Our little niece ( 2) is having a heart transplant surgery today. Please pray for God to keep her in his care during the surgery and for her to accept the new organ well.
Thanks!
Praying here Terry. Please let us know how things go… as you are able of course♥
Oh wow ! Praying !
Due to some bureaucratic issue, the surgery fell through, and did not happen today. We are disappointed but trust that the Father is in control of all of this.
Thank you for your prayers as we continue to prayerfully wait…
Our niece had her heart transplant night before last. So far, everything is looking good. Thanks to all of you who have been praying for her. And don’t stop!! Please pray as well for the family who lost a young child and was loving and generous enough even in their grief to give our little niece a chance to live.
Oh, and pray for my brother and sister in law as well. This ordeal has been very stressful for them as well. Pray that God will give them a second wind as they prepare to go from anxiety and waiting to recovery.
Hope y’all have been doing well.
God is good!
